COMMUNITY MESSAGING LIVE FEED – ASB & CRIMINAL DAMAGE

Received from West Mercia Police:

Anti Social Behaviour and Criminal damage

Recently we have been made aware of ongoing anti-social behaviour involving groups of youths congregating on the park at the back of Glendale. There have also been reports of possible smoking of cannabis and drug dealing in the area.

It has been reported that a local resident has taken it upon themselves to cause criminal damage by pouring oil onto the seating area of the park shelter, this has been carried out on a number of occasions. The cost to the council is significant for the removal of the oil and these incidents will be dealt with accordingly. It is believed this has been done to deter the youths from congregating in this area. We would like to remind residents that if there are issues within the area to contact the appropriate agencies.

Have you seen anything? Do you know who is responsible? Have you seen anybody acting suspicious around this area? If you have any information that may assist the police or have CCTV camera’s that cover this area and captures the incidents, please call police on 101 to report this matter. Alternatively you can call crime stoppers on 0800 555 111 or email the team LawleyandOverdale.snt@westmercia.pnn.police.uk
