PET WORK WEEK COMMENCING 18TH NOVEMBER

Work was completed in the following areas:

  • On-going leaf clearance from footpaths across the Parish
  • Strimmed the wild flower beds and repaired ruts on the beds on Overdale
  • Pruned shrubs back off the footpath at Rose Tree Close on to Bellpit Road
  • Pruned the hedge around trees at St Heliers Green Guarantee site and litter picked the area
  • Cleaned off leaves and moss from the footpath at St Heliers
  • Removed two abandoned shopping trolleys off Old Office Road
  • Repaired ruts on the grass verge off Gresham Drive
  • Removed a small fly tip of household waste off Rock Road junction
  • Hard pruned shrubs on two sight lines on Cedar Close, Overdale
  • Pruned shrubs around Lawley Village Green pond
  • Cleared leaves from Princes End car park

PET WORK WEEK COMMENCING 11TH NOVEMBER

Work was completed in the following areas:

  • Removed an abandoned shopping trolley off Park Lane, Old Park
  • Pruned overgrown shrubs to improve the sight lines at road junctions at Princes End
  • Blew over 20 paths across the Parish (mainly school routes) to clear a build- up of leaves and moss
  • Dropped off bags of Rock Salt to local Snow Wardens
  • Cut up and removed a fallen tree branch blocking the footpath on Old Park Way
  • Ongoing strimming of wild flower beds across the Parish

PET WORK WEEK COMMENCING 4TH NOVEMBER

Work was completed in the following areas:

  • Litter picked around Newdale War Memorial
  • Over 20 footpaths blown clear of debris across the Parish where there was a build – up of leaves and moss
  • Repaired large vehicle ruts on the grass verge on West Centre Way
  • Pruned the Community Garden hedge
  • Cut back brambles and strimmed around the steps at Cedar Close
  • Swept up broken glass from the hard standing area at Newdale War Memorial
  • Litter picked around the caravan site off Dawley Road
  • Repaired the broken chain link between bollards on Lawley Village Green
  • Installed the Silent Soldier at Newdale War Memorial and brushed the path clear of mud

PET WORK WEEK COMMENCING 28TH OCTOBER

Work was completed in the following areas:

  • Blew leaves and debris from the front of the BT offices on Old Office Road
  • Blew debris from the Wrekin Trundle path
  • Blew leaves and debris from the M54 bridge to Arleston Inn
  • Blew mud and grass off the Wrekin Way at the rear of Newdale pool
  • Scraped and blew mud off the path on Bellpit Open Space
  • Blew leaves from the path from Park Road to Cemetery Road
  • Mowed the grass verge on the Wrekin Trundle
  • Mowed the grass verge on the Wrekin Way at the rear of Newdale School
  • Mowed around the newly seeded area at Newdale War Memorial
  • Swept up broken glass off the hardstanding area next to the War Memorial
  • Mowed the grass verge on the Right of Way from The Rock to The Wrekin Way at Newdale
  • Mowed around the entrance to Bellpit open space
  • Stone picked the newly seeded area at Newdale War Memorial
  • Weeded the shrub bed at the War Memorial
  • Dead headed roses at Lawley Community Garden
  • Edged back the footpath at the entrance to Bellpit Open Space caused by quad bike damage
  • Scraped weeds and moss from Lawley Gate footbridge and blew clear of debris
  • Blew leaves and debris from the footpath across Lawley Village Green
  • Litter picked in Lawley Community Garden
  • Sprayed weeds in the shrub bed around the hardstanding at Newdale War Memorial
  • Blew leaves and debris from the footpath from Charlecote Park to the Ironbridge Way
  • Blew leaves from the school route at Grove Road alleyway
  • Blew leaves and debris from around Old Park Green and the steps to Old Park pond
  • Removed a small fly tip of household waste from the green space at Acer Close
  • Removed a small fly tip of household waste from Princes End car park
  • Blew leaves and debris from the footpath from Arleston Lane to the Lawley Drive footbridge
  • Replaced weather – damaged lamp post poppies around the Parish
  • Scraped weeds and blew debris from the path at Arleston Lane footbridge

Work was completed in the following areas:

  • Ongoing work sweeping up crab apples daily from the footpath between Pepper Mill and Lawley Primary School
  • Litter picked around Newdale War Memorial area
  • Blew debris and scraped mud off the Wrekin Trundle path
  • Cleared beech husks from the footpath at Glendale bus stop
  • Blew debris from the footpath from Lawley Playing Fields to Glendale designated as a school route
  • Blew leaves and debris from the footpath from Bartholomew Road to Lawley Village Green
  • Blew leaves and debris from Acer Close steps
  • Blew leaves and debris from the steps leading to Old Park pond
  • Blew leaves and debris from the footpath from the bottom of Park Road to Cemetery Road
  • Pruned and weeded the shrub bed and blew leaves from the path near Dawley Bank shop
  • Sprayed weeds at the fence line on the Wrekin Way at the rear of Newdale School
  • Blew leaves and debris from the Overdale side of the Wrekin Way
  • Blew leaves from the steps on the footpath off the Ironbridge Way at Newdale
  • Put up over 250 lamp post poppies around the Parish
  • Collected Street Champions blue litter pick bags from the Dawley Road
  • Weeded around the Newdale War Memorial shrub bed
  • Swept mud from the path around the War Memorial
  • Swept up broken glass from the footpath at the bottom of Rock Road
  • Picked up two radiators fly tipped outside the Cemetery on Cemetery Road
