The Lawley Partnership Board was established in 2022 and following consultation with the community, developed an action plan which, amongst other initiatives, enabled the installation of speed cameras along Lawley Drive and West Centre Way to address the issue of speeding, the purchase of several floral planters and hanging baskets and new Welcome to Lawley signs to give the area a sense of identity.
Grant funding from the Board was also awarded to many of the local community groups to assist with projects and initiatives and the Board also supported various community events, including Summer Fest, Lawley 5K and Christmas Lights Switch on.
The Lawley Community Consortium will continue the good work undertaken by the Lawley Partnership Board and believes that community engagement is vital to ensure that residents have a say about what matters most to them.
The Consortium will meet on a quarterly basis and updates from the meetings will be shared with residents.
