Summer Fest 2023

Summer Fest is back for 2023, and while we know we say this a lot, it really is bigger and better than ever before!

We’re working together with our partners at Bournville Village Trust and the Lawley Partnership Board to lay on a summer event that will take the whole parish by storm. More acts, more games, more stalls… more Summer Fest!

Taking place at Lawley Village Green on Saturday 8 July 2023 from 1pm until 9pm, you won’t want to miss the biggest event in the parish.

The best part?

Entry to Summer Fest is FREE!

While you wait for July to come along, take a look back at some of the photos from Summer Fest 2022 to get an idea of what to expect!

Where is Lawley Village Green?

It’s here:

So, what’s in store for Summer Fest 2023?

Live entertainment

The stage will be back, DJ John from JB Roadshow will be back on it to host, and he will be introducing the following awesome live entertainment acts:

Activities and games

If live performances aren’t your thing, we’ve got a huge variety of activities and games to keep you and your family entertained for hours!

These include:

  • An assortment of inflatable bouncy castles and slides provided by Premier Bounce
  • A variety of carnival games, also provided by Premier Bounce.
  • An entire mini 9-hole crazy golf course, provided by The Traditional Game Hire Company!
  • If horizontal activities are beneath you, fear not – go vertical instead with a mobile climbing wall! Provided by 270 Climbing.
  • Our friends from Rainbow Faces will be back to offer their professional face painting services to any and all children (or children-at-heart adults) who wish to change their faces for the day!
  • Rainbow Faces will also be providing Summer Fest guests (Festees?) with a fun balloon modelling service!
  • A big hit at our past events, Flambe Circus will providing us with one of their expert bubblelogists!

Other services

  • We hope they won’t be needed, but it’s better to be safe than sorry, so MW Medics will be providing medics throughout the event to help keep everybody safe.
  • We get asked a surprising amount whether or not our events will have toilet access, so we feel it important to state that yes, there will be toilets! And we’ve learnt our lesson from last year – Telford Toilets will be providing us with several more outdoor loos than last year, so hopefully the queues won’t be as long this time!
  • JP Audio Visual will be providing us with all the professional sound systems we need to make sure you can hear the live acts!

Stalls and refeshments

We will have a huge number of stalls at Summer Fest 2023! When the list of stall holders has been finalised, we’ll post them here, so stay tuned!

We can confirm that food and drink will be available for purchase throughout the event, this year from:

  • Mitchell Catering will be providing the event with a bar, a burger van, and a number of other different food options.
  • The Watering Hole will be providing their signature horsebox bar.
  • Super-whipped Ice Creams will be providing the event with… well, ice creams. Obviously!
