We’re eggcited to present to you our biggest calendar of Easter events ever! Lawley and Overdale Parish Council and our partners at the Lawley Partnership Board and Bournville Village Trust have organised a whole heap of eggcellent activities to keep you hopping over the holidays!

3 April, Lawley – Easter trail

In 2022 we hosted the first Easter trail, and it was a huge success – so we thought we’d make it an annual event!

Join the hunt as we dot Lawley with clues you must follow, leading you around the parish before you collect your well-earned prize!

Kicking off at Lawley Green on Monday 3 April from 10am until 1pm, you’ll have until 1pm to solve all of the clues!

There’s no need to book a place. It’s open to everybody and completely free, just drop by at the starting line from 10am!

4 April, Overdale – Children’s Magic Workshop (FULL)

We bring a little bit of magic to the Carpenter Centre, Overdale, as Jack Dent hosts the Children’s Magic Workshop!

From 10am until 11am on Tuesday 4 April, you too can learn to be a master of illusion at the Carpenter Centre, Overdale.

Unfortunately, this event is now fully-booked.

5 April, Lawley – Cricket and multi-sports session (FULL)

Lawley and Overdale will soon see its own mini-Ashes, as children from the parish are invited to participate in one two, five-hour cricket and multi-sports sessions hosted by Cricket Shropshire.

Suitable for ages 7 – 14, the first indoor cricket and multi-sports session will be held at Lawley Village Academy on Wednesday 5 April, from 9:30am until 2:30pm.

These sessions are free, but you need to book a place!

6 April, Overdale – Cricket and multi-sports session

6 April, Lawley – Exotic Zoo (FULL)

Our friends from the Exotic Zoo will be returning to the parish this Easter, showcasing their weird and wonderful animals and educating children (and adults) all about them!

These events are always lots of fun – take a look back at some of the photos from previous Exotic Zoo sessions to see what you might expect!

The first Exotic Zoo session will be held at Lawley Community Centre on Thursday 6 April, from 10am until 11am. Places are free, but you will need to book in advance!

11 April, Overdale – Children’s Easter cooking workshops (FULL)

After all these events you may have worked up an appetite – so why not become a master chef at the Children’s Easter cooking workshop?

Katie, from Katie’s Kitchen, will be hosting these culinary classes where children can learn to bake all sorts of delicious treats.

There will be two sessions of the cooking workshop on Tuesday 11 April at the Carpenter Centre, Overdale.

The first session will take place from 10am until 12pm.

Unfortunately, the 10am session is now fully-booked.

The second session will take place on the same date, from 1pm until 3pm, again at the Carpenter Centre.

Once more, places are free but you will need to book in advance!

12 April, Overdale – Exotic Zoo

Our friends from the Exotic Zoo will be returning to the parish this Easter, showcasing their weird and wonderful animals and educating children (and adults) all about them!

12 April, Overdale – Fun Science

Fun Science is returning! These edutaining sessions give children the opportunity to learn about science. In a fun way. The name gives it away, really!

Take a look back at a previous Fun Science session to see the sort of thing you can expect!

The first Fun Science session will be held at the Carpenter Centre, Overdale on Wednesday 12 April, from 12pm until 1pm.

Places are free, but you will need to book in advance!

12 April, Overdale – AFC Telford Football

As part of Telford & Wrekin Council’s Urban Games programme, football is coming to Overdale!

Organised by AFC Telford and suitable for children aged 8 – 15, this drop-in session will take place at the Overdale green space on Wednesday 12 April, from 1pm until 3pm.

Attendance is free, and there’s no need to book a place – just drop in!

12 April, Lawley – AFC Telford Football

14 April, Overdale – The King of Clubs and the Missing White Rabbit

The White rabbit is often late, but he is never this late! What could have happened to him?

Can you help the King of Clubs solve the clues and discover why the White Rabbit has not arrived?

On arrival, you will be met by His Royal Highness, who will help you solve the mystery. Then it’s on to games and craft activities!

This fun activity takes place on Friday 14 April at the Carpenter Centre, Overdale, at two different times.

The first session runs from 9:30am until 11am.

Places are free, but you will need to book in advance.
