LAWLEY & OVERDALE HISTORY TRAIL PROJECT

Keen local historians and members of Lawley and Overdale Parish Council are working together to establish a History Trail in the Parish. The aim of the project is to link over 23 identified sites of historical interest across a three mile circular walk. Information gathered will help in the creation of a walking guide leaflet.  All areas of the Parish will be included on the walk, from Lawley, Newdale, Overdale, The Rock, Old Park, Dawley Bank and Lawley Bank.

Funding will also be spent to signpost the route, which uses a number of footpaths and public rights of way, the latter of which form an integral part of a ongoing maintenance program funded by the Parish Council. The project is funded by the Your Money, Your Projects initiative by Telford and Wrekin Council.

The Parish Council is now seeking additional information from parishioners to add into the leaflet, with further option to create a webpage devoted to local Parish history. POSTERTRAIL1
