Following on from our previous post regarding the “shambolic” road works we have endured for the past month on West Centre Way – They have now closed the gaping hole!
We have been advised that the Traffic Management will be removed this afternoon (2nd April 2015), reopening the previously closed lane.
All work has been suspended until the National Grid approves plans to install a replacement gas main across Lawley Drive to the Gas Governor in Pepper Mill – there is no telling when this might come to pass, though it has been requested that we are all given prior warning to the works.
Unfortunately, we are none-the-wiser as to why the gas work are being carried out now, 6 years after installation/damage was caused, when there is presently no leak.
Thank you gain to the Lawley Village Developer Group for working so hard on this problem.
