Cllr Mollett was one of the Ward Councillors for Horsehay & Lightmoor Ward which covered part of Lawley Parish.
Cllr Jayne Greenaway, his fellow Ward Councillor has written a few words:
As many will know by now Cllr Clive Mollett my friend, colleague and fellow ward councillor sadly passed away suddenly, last week.
Clive dealt with ward issues in a very direct manner, he was a quiet family man who took his work and council commitments very seriously.
Clive first came to Telford in the 1980s and was Direct Marketing Manager for PDSA for 10 years in which time his strategy helped to raise over £5M for this cause alone.
He ran his own company in which he specialised in providing lottery & allied fundraising services to the charitable sector.
These ranged from Action for Street Kids, Cancer Research UK, Help the Aged, Make-a-Wish, Severn Hospice and many, many more.
Local and Nationally important charitable organisations have benefited and will continue to benefit from the work he had done. He has also Chaired the Lottery Council, where he will be greatly missed.
Clive was an animal lover (hence the PDSA) and a classic car enthusiast, in his spare time.
Clive had worked with many partners through his council work over the years in Horsehay & Lightmoor and was well respected, and will be missed.
My thanks to you all for the messages of sympathy and condolence, which I have conveyed to his family, on your behalf.
Jayne
