As the coronavirus outbreak continues, and social distancing measures leave more people in isolation, vulnerable people in our communities are finding it increasingly difficult to complete tasks such as walking their dogs, or buying essentials like food and medicine.
Especially hard-hit are those people without many or any friends or family who might be able to help.
In a bid to provide these people with some extra support, Telford & Wrekin Council has launched the Community Support Hotline.
If you need help with basic tasks like shopping, collecting prescriptions, or even walking your dog, you can call the hotline on 01952 382030. The line is open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
You can also register for this support online at any time on the Telford & Wrekin Council website.
If you are worried about a neighbour or a friend who might need support, please contact the Community Support Hotline and let them know.
