All residents over 70 years of age can now book a vaccination

If you are over 70 years of age you are now able to book a COVID-19 vaccination in Telford, even if you have not yet received a letter inviting you to arrange an appointment.

This week Telford & Wrekin Council have announced that all resident’s over 70 years of age are now able to book their Covid-19 vaccination appointment either at the International Centre or at one of the several local centres within the borough.

Details on how to book your appointment can be viewed here NHS – Book or manage your coronavirus vaccination

Residents who are considered to be Clinically Extremely Vulnerable (CEV) will still have to wait for their letter before they are able to book an appointment for the Covid-19 vaccination.

What to expect when you attend your vaccination appointment

  • People who have an appointment at a vaccination centre will be greeted by colleagues who will marshal car parking and register them when they arrive.
  • Appointments are staggered to allow social distancing and people are urged to support the smooth running of the centre by not arriving more than 10 or 15 minutes before for their allocated time.
  • Individuals will receive a health status check and a pre-vaccination assessment before they have their jab.
  • The whole process should take under 30 minutes.
