The Wharfage, Tontine Hill, Ironbridge road closure, 19 April 2021

Lawley and Overdale Parish Council have been advised that part of The Wharfage, Tontine Hill, Ironbridge will be closed for 28 days in April and May, to undertake ground investigation works.

The Environment Agency is planning to undertake ground investigation works starting from Monday 19 April 2021, and the work is expected to last for 28 days, until Sunday 16 May 2021.

As such, a length of The Wharfage, Tontine Hill – from its junction with Windsor Court and its its junction with Bennetts Bank, Wellington – will be closed to traffic for 28 days.

The diversion route for vehicular traffic travelling eastbound will be: “via Buildwas Road, Much Wenlock Road, Buildwas Bank, A4169 From End Of Buildwas Bank To Wrekin District Boundary, Buildwas Bank, Jiggers Bank Roundabout, Queensway Jiggers Bank Roundabout To Brookside Roundabout, Castlefields Roundabout, Castlefields Way, Woodside Roundabout, Parkway From Lees Farm To Woodside Roundabout, Lees Farm Roundabout, Ironbridge Road, Madeley Road.”

Signage and a diversion route will be posted on-site.
