The Great British Spring Clean is back for 2021! Organised by Keep Britain Tidy, the Spring Clean is a nationwide litter-picking initiative in which volunteers pledge to help tidy up their communities. Half a million people took part last year, despite lockdown delaying the ‘spring’ clean until September.
This year, the Great British Spring Clean starts on 28 May and runs until 13 June. The organisers are hoping to litter-pick a million miles across the UK as part of their ‘Million Mile Mission’.
People interested in taking part can sign up as either an individual or a COVID-secure group. There is advice on how to stay COVID-secure on the Great British Spring Clean website.
