Lawley and Overdale Parish Council has recently been informed of the sad news that former Councillor John Barber has passed away on 19th September 2021, aged 91.
John served as a Lawley and Overdale parish councillor from 1996 to 2004 and he was elected to serve as its Chairman from May 2000 to April 2004.
During this time, he served the local community steadfastly, putting the needs of the parish and its residents first and foremost among his priorities.
The funeral service is due to be held at Telford Crematorium at 3:30pm on Monday 4th October 2021. Anybody who wishes to attend is welcome to do so.
The incumbent Chairman of Lawley and Overdale Parish Council, Councillor John Yorke, shall read a eulogy in honour of Johns eight years of service to the parish.
The Parish Council, existing and previous Councillors extend our deepest sympathy to his family and friends at their loss.
