Lawley and Overdale Parish Council has been advised that there will be a road closure for one evening on Forest Glen from 8:30pm on 2 June 2022, for the duration of the Beacon on the Wrekin event.
Telford & Wrekin Council is planning to close the road to vehicular traffic from 8:30pm on Thursday 2 June 2022, and the closure is expected to last for one evening, until 12:30am on Friday 3 June 2022.
Roads to be regulated:
- Forest Glen from its junction with Holyhead Road B5061 To Cluddley Junction, Telford, to its junction with Ercall Lane, Wellington
- Forest Glen To Spout Lane Junction, Little Wenlock from its junction with Ercall Lane, Wellington, to its junction with Spout Lane, Little Wenlock
The diversion route for vehicular traffic travelling Southbound will be via Holyhead Road, Dawley Road, Lilac Meadows, The Crescent, Lawley Common Roundabout, A5223 Wellington Road Horsehay Roundabout To Lawley Common Roundabout, Horsehay Roundabout, Horsehay Bypass, Coalmoor Road, Malt House Bank and Wellington Road. For vehicular traffic travelling north westerly vice versa.
Signage and a diversion route will be posted on-site.
