Our Parish Environmental Team (PET), as part of the Community Action Team (CAT), has been out and about in St Helliers, Dawley Bank, and on the Rock Road this week, reclaiming road signs from shrubs and dealing with broken fences.
The road signs in St Helliers had almost been completely consumed by nearby shrubbery, until our PET operative arrived to fish it out (by “fish it out” we of course mean, hack the shrub down to a more reasonable size).
Then it was off to the Rock Road pedestrian crossing, where a section of fence had broken and lay perilously nearby. Our PET operative shifted it quickly, though!
