Green Spaces Are Go!

As part of the Healthy Telford initiative, Green Spaces Are Go has been created to encourage people to step outside and get active.

Telford & Wrekin Council launched Healthy Telford several years ago to assist people with their physical and mental health with information and tips.

Green Spaces Are Go highlights the benefits of exercising in a park or green space and encourages people to use them. The area of Lawley & Overdale Parish has an array of parks for residents to use and an abundance of green spaces for people to exercise in.

Following a successful application to the Green Spaces Are Go Grant Fund, the Parish Council will soon be enhancing its Lawley & Overdale History Trail with new interpretation boards, benches and updated trail guides for residents use.

Not only that, but we shall be launching our monthly trail walks later in the year for residents to get out, become active and learn about the local history.

Until then, you can view all the Green Spaces Are Go activities that are available across the Borough via their website.
