Councillor Luke Lewis was elected as the new Chair of Lawley and Overdale Parish Council at our Annual General Meeting this month. Here, he introduces himself and explains what’s going on in the parish!

Hello. My name is Councillor Luke Lewis, Chair of Lawley and Overdale Parish Council. I hope everything is well and safe within the community.
I’m delighted to be elected to serve the community and honoured to be the Chair of the Parish. Myself and my fellow colleagues are very much looking forward to serving you, the community and our residents and work alongside the residents, partners and stakeholders to ensure that Lawley and Overdale continues to be a safe place for us all to live.
We will soon be announcing Councillor surgery dates where I hope you can join us face to face to voice concerns, make suggestions, or just come say hello. It will be my pleasure to see you there, however, if there are any concerns or anything you wish to raise, please don’t hesitate to contact myself, my fellow Councillor colleagues, or the Parish office staff.
We have so many great events to look forward to within the parish in 2023, including the Overdale Beach Party and the PSA testing event which are occurring in June. We also have our famous Summer Fest in July to name but a few.
On behalf of myself, my fellow Councillor colleagues and the staff at the office, we are all very much looking forward to working with you. Thank you and we’ll do another update in a month’s time.
