M54 junction 2 to junction 4 concrete road renewals – update

Please see the below update with regards to maintenance work on the M54.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our programme of work has changed.

The remainder of our M54 concrete repair work will now be carried out as follows:

Thursday 27 March from 8pm to 6am, and then Friday 28 March from 8pm to 6am Monday 31 March – M54 eastbound junction 4 to junction 2 closed.

Thursday 3 April from 8pm to 6am, and then Friday 4 April from 8pm to 6am Monday 7 April – M54 eastbound junction 4 to junction 2 closed.

Thursday 10 April from 8pm to 6am, and then Friday 11 April from 8pm to 6am Monday 14 April – M54 westbound junction 2 to junction 3 closed.

Thursday 17 April from 8pm to 6am, and then Friday 18 April from 8pm to 6am Monday 21 April – M54 westbound junction 2 to junction 3 closed.

We’ll need to return to carry out further work on the M54 eastbound between junction 5 and junction 4. Our work will take place during weeknight closures. We’ll share further information via our M54 mailing list once our programme is confirmed.

We have carefully considered the delivery of this work. Our full weekend closures will enable us to carry out our work safely and allow the concrete to set to the required strength. We apologise for the short notice.

What does this mean for you?

During our work, we’ll install fully signed diversion routes which have been agreed by the local authority.

Emergency vehicles will have access throughout.

We’ll make every effort to ensure the impact on the local community and travelling public is kept to a minimum. We always aim to work to the programme, however unforeseen circumstances or adverse weather conditions may mean changes.

Community Governance Review

Are you interested in having your say about your local area and how it’s managed?
Telford and Wrekin Council are reviewing local Town & Parish Council arrangements, to make sure they still best represent our local communities, and we need to know what you think.
Community Governance Reviews can consider a range of option including creating, merging, or altering parishes, changing the size of parishes or the number of councillors in them.
Local knowledge is vital for this review so it’s important that you have your say. We welcome feedback from residents or interested organisations who wish to comment or make alternative proposals.
Phase 1 of the review has been extended until 14 April, so you can have your say at https://orlo.uk/Io5j3 or by email to reviews@telford.gov.uk
All comments and feedback will be considered, before updated proposals are presented to the Boundary Review Committee.
If approved, there will then be a further four-week consultation period for residents and stakeholders to comment on any proposed changes.
