We have been notified by Telford & Wrekin that they will be closing the Rock to traffic from the 26th May for a maximum of 5 days. This closure is to allow Balfour Beatty to install a new gas service on behalf of the National Grid.

The Rock will be closed from its junction with Waterloo Road/Rock Road to its junction with Rock Road.

Traffic should use Rock Road as a diversion. The road will be open for access only.

The Telford and Wrekin Active Lifestyles Awards and Sports Scholars Evening Ceremony is going to be held at The Place on Wednesday 8^th July 2015.

The evening is to honour individuals, teams, groups and business achievements in sport and physical activity.

Do you know anyone who has committed numerous hours to volunteering, changed their life through sport or a business that provides opportunities for their workforce to get more active?

The evening also acknowledges talented young athletes in their annual sports scholars presentation.

Last year was extremely successful with more than 200 people attending and 30 gold, silver and bronze award grants awarded!

Nominations are required by end of play Tuesday 5^th May 2015!
