Temporary diversion of Ironbridge Way, Lawley

We have been advised that work will start next week to reposition the main sewer pipe for Lawley Village as part of the building work for Phase 8. This  will require two temporary diversions of Ironbridge Way between the stretch behind the Ironstone Visitors Centre and the intersection with the path behind Charlecote Park, by the kissing gate. The pipe is 8 metres deep and will require extensive excavations to complete the work.

Ramps will be built from the path to a temporary stone path running adjacent to Ironbridge Way. A small number of trees will have to be removed but they will be replaced at the end of the work, which is likely to take 12 weeks.
