Pride in Our Community: Improvements in Your Area – Pepper Mill Crossing Points

We have been advised by TWC that works will start on Monday 23rd October to improve the crossing points along Peppermill, Lawley. This package of works will involves the following improvements:

  • Widened informal crossing point on the school access road to make it more visible.
  • Relocated and widened crossing point and new footway on Peppermill near Clips Moor to link to the school site. This crossing point will have a buff coloured surface treatment.
  • Pedestrian buildout between existing parking spaces on Peppermill, south of Clips Moor, to narrow the crossing width, bringing pedestrians out from behind parked cars and aid pedestrian crossing movements.
  • Removal of cobbles south of Bartholomew Road due to noise complaints.

These improvements will be undertaken on the following days:

Crossing improvements outside Lawley Primary       –           Monday 23rd to Wednesday 25th October

Removing Cobbled Insets and Lining                         –           Thursday 26th and Friday 27th October

There will be a road closure in place on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th October on Peppermill between the junction with Lawley Drive and Bartholomew Road. This will require the number 11 bus service to terminate at the convenience store on Glendale on these two days. Posters have been put up advising of this change in all of the impacted bus stops.
