PET WORK WEEK COMMENCING 9TH SEPTEMBER

Work was completed in the following areas:

  • Removed a broken plastic bollard from the entrance to Bartholomew Road
  • Removed a fly tip of household items and wood from Grove Road alleyway
  • Removed a broken car bumper from the grass verge on Colliers Way
  • Cleared up broken glass off the footpath around Old Park pond
  • Made wooden signs for the Community Garden raised beds, and put in place
  • Blew grass from the path following the tractor mowing on Lawley Village Green
  • Pruned low branches from the hedge at the rear of Lawley Circle
  • Swept up broken glass from the footpath at the front of the Grazing Cow pub
  • Cut up and removed a fallen tree branch from Hill Road, Overdale
  • Swept up broken glass from the kerb edge on Milners Lane
  • Sprayed weeds on the bridle way off Rock Road
  • Removed an abandoned shopping trolley from Bellpit Open space
  • Removed broken glass from around the gate onto Lawley playing fields
  • Mowed the grass verges on Wrekin Trundle
  • Mowed the verges on the Wrekin Way at the rear of Newdale School
  • Mowed the verge on the Safer Route to School path from the Wrekin Way to The Rock
  • Mowed the grass edges along the Rock Road bridle way
  • Mowed around the street furniture on Bellpit Open space, following the tractor mow
  • Swept up broken glass from the kerb edge at the end of Milners Lane by Concorde
  • Sprayed weeds on the hardstanding at Lawley Circle
  • Sprayed weeds in Lawley Community Garden
  • Sprayed weeds at Old Park green
  • Removed five abandoned shopping trolleys- one Sainsburys, two Dunelm, one Asda, one B&Q- from the footpath at the rear of Sainsburys towards Old Park
  • Hard pruned around the signpost at the entrance to St Heliers
  • Removed a rotted off Royal Mail grey box on the grass verge at the entrance to St Heliers
  • hard pruned willow tree overhanging the footpath on Lawley Drive
  • Pruned back overhanging brambles from Lawley Drive near the main traffic lights
  • Cleared brambles in the orchard area on Lawley Community Garden
  • Dead headed roses and mowed and edged around the rose bed and herb bed in Lawley Community Garden
  • Mowed around the bridleway entrance off West Centre Way at the rear of the Grazing Cow
  • Removed a fly tip of household rubbish from Rock Road bus stop
  • Removed a fly tip of car parts from the grass area at Cedar Close, Overdale
