Update regarding Lawley Phase 11 permitted works

Lawley and Overdale Parish Council has recently received a letter from developers of the Lawley Village Phase 11 site, Lawley Village Development Group.

They have confirmed that mine shaft investigation works will begin on Phase 11 Monday 30th March. They continue:

“In order to carry out the works, they will mobilise opposite phase 7 and work across the site with their investigations, treating shafts when located. They will be accessing phase 11 through phase 7 and have created a crossing point at Ironbridge Way. To reiterate, this crossing point will be manned during operating hours to ensure access is always available – this route has been approved by Telford and Wrekin Council. In order to keep disruption to a minimum, there will be a minimum of 5 deliveries a day through phase 7 for treatments to the located shafts and work will take approximately 12 – 16 weeks to complete.”

The developers have apologised for any inconvenience this may cause to residents, and they will contact us again to inform us of when further works will begin.
