West Mercia Police has sent Lawley and Overdale Parish Council their latest guidance and information on how we can help save lives during the coronavirus outbreak.
Please read the following, and do your part to limit the spread of the virus.
The police are still working to prevent crime, and you can find details on how to continue report crimes below.
Stay at home
- Only go outside for food, health reasons or work (where this absolutely cannot be done from home)
- Stay 2 metres (6ft) away from other people
- Wash your hands as soon as you get home
Anyone can spread the virus.
Please do follow the advice, stay at home and help us to help the national effort. We are grateful for your patience and continued support during these times of great uncertainty.
Please be reassured that we are still here if you need us for an emergency, however overnight we had numerous calls to our Force Control Room asking what these new measures mean.
We must stress that it is vital our emergency 999 and non-emergency 101 phone lines are kept free to deal with crime related issues.
When we have the answers, we will share these with you through our numerous channels including our website https://www.westmercia.police.uk/
Social media: https://www.facebook.com/westmerciapolice , https://twitter.com/wmerciapolice, and through the Community Messaging System (https://cms.westmercia.police.uk/register), a free messaging service where you can sign up to receive emails.
If you are a victim of crime please continue to report it online at https://www.westmercia.police.uk/
Using 101, or in an emergency, 999 – and we will respond as normal.
You can also keep up to date with information and advice on www.gov.uk/coronavirus and locally from our partners at County Councils where community help hubs have been set up for those who need support or can offer help.
Below are the links to their website for your assistance.
Once again thank you for your continued support and please help us, cooperate with us and lets all do everything we can to save lives and protect the NHS.
