The Lawley Village Developer Group has contacted Lawley and Overdale Parish Council to inform residents that topsoil movement work will begin in Lawley Village on Tuesday 16 June 2020. The work is estimated to last for two weeks.
Topsoil material will be transported from phases 5 and 9. The full text of the letter sent by Taylor Wimpey is reproduced below.
As part of our commitment to keeping you updated about the Lawley Village development, we give notice regarding further materials movements from phases 5 and 9.
In previous notices we advised that we would keep you updated on these matters. We can confirm that Topsoil material only, which is not the engineering grade material to be reused within the Lawley developments, will be moved to another site starting on Tuesday 16 June and will take approximately 2 weeks. This will be removed by our contractor McAuliffe with the same level of due diligence as before.
The route from phases 5 and 9 will use West Centre Way and Lawley Drive down to the M54 junction for its remaining transit to its destination for Topsoil reuse as indicated. This is in accordance with the planning permission granted for these phases. To keep disruption to a minimum, there will be a be a targeted number of movements a day to ensure this is moved expediently and safely.
On behalf of the consortium group, I would like to sincerely apologise for any inconvenience these works may cause and assure you that we are taking appropriate steps to keep disruption to the local community to an absolute minimum.
Further material movements are due from these phases and we will keep you updated in due course.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your patience and understanding. Our on-site development teams can be contacted in the meantime if required regarding phases 5 and 9. Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us using the below contact details and we will help with any queries that you would like to discuss.
