Public art installation, Lawley Village

Work is set to go ahead on installing ‘public artworks’ in Lawley Village, the Lawley Village Developer Group has told us.

The ‘public artworks’ are due to be installed on Tuesday 15 September, and will take approximately one to two days to complete.

At almost three metres (ten feet) in height, the artworks are intended to “reflect the old Birchfield Foundry and the fault lines in the local area”.

Planning permission for the works, which will be located within the local square on Phase Three, was approved around three years ago.

The Lawley Village Developer Group will be sending letters out to affected residents to explain the work.
