Financial guide for pensioners to be launched

Telford & Wrekin Council (TWC) is launching a dedicated guide for all pensioners within the borough to inform them of the financial support, assistance and benefits that they may be entitled to.

The Council’s pensioners’ guide includes information on a wide range of benefits and support schemes. From claiming pension credit, to how to reduce your council tax bill and how to apply for travel discounts.  There is also information on the Council’s leisure facilities and discounted rates (including swimming for only £1), and many more.

TWC recognises that many pensioners may not be aware of what they are entitled to claim.  The guide comprises of useful information from the council itself, the Government and other partner organisations.
