ORIGINAL STORY: 05/10/2020: Balfour Beatty, on behalf of Telford & Wrekin Council, is planning to replace the ‘speed cushions’ on Rock Road, Ketley and Overdale, later this month. This may involve some road closures and traffic diversions.
The work will be carried out in two phases. It will begin on 19 October 2020, and is expected to be completed by 30th October 2020.
According to the announcement:
The work is due to take place on 19/10/2020 and be completed by 31/10/2020, weather permitting.
We will be working in two phases, phase 1 (week one) removal of existing speed cushions and reinstatement of the carriageway 09:00-14:30hrs under a Road Closure.
Phase 2 (week two) will be installation of rubber speed cushions and lining 0800-1700hrs under a Road Closure.
Diversions will be set out in advance of the works and our dedicated teams will be on site to assist you during this time, to help you get past the working areas safely should you need to do so. Whilst we will endeavour to minimise disruption, we ask that you keep vehicle movements to an absolute minimum and not to park on the road. Please also ensure that children are supervised, do not play near the working areas and all pets are kept away from the works.

Access will be maintained where we can during the works for residents and for emergency vehicles We will try to cause as little inconvenience as possible and really appreciate your co-operation whilst we are undertaking the works.
