Phase 11 material movements to resume

Material movements from Phases 5, 9 and 10 to Phase 11 are to resume on Monday 19 October 2020, the Lawley Village Developer Group (LVDG) has announced.

The movement works will be carried out by LVDG’s contractor McAuliffe. The work will take place every weekday, between 7:30am and 6pm. It is estimated that it will take around seven weeks to complete.

Mine shaft investigations are also set to take place during this time.

“In order to carry out the material movement works, we plan to access the site from Concorde and have reinstated the crossing point through the byway of Ladygrove,” a letter to residents from the LVDG explained. “To reiterate, this route has been approved by Telford and Wrekin Council, and will be gated and manned during operating hours to ensure access is always available.

“I can confirm that there will be no access to the site through Station Road, and our contractors will not park on Concorde,” the letter added.

The LVDG has committed to monitor vibrations, dust, noise, and other emissions for the duration of the work, and promises to pause activity should any of these “exceed industry standards”.

A lorry wheel wash will be located on the Phase 11 site, and a daily road sweeper will be running for the duration of the work, the LVDG added.

Contractors McAuliffe will be located on the Phase 11 site during the work. McAuliffe can be contacted at any time on 01902 354400.
