Welcome to Lawley Overdale Parish Council June update. My name is John Yorke, Parish Councillor for Dawley Bank Ward, and recently elected chairman of the Parish Council.

My thanks to Councillor Raj Mehta for his chairmanship, and work in the past year. We have all had to endure a difficult 15 months. Hopefully we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

As Chairman, rest assured that I, my fellow councillors and staff, will continue to work on your behalf and the needs of the parish residents.

The Parish Council is working on plans for this year, including securing the parish community centre, tackling anti-social behaviour, raising awareness and road safety, retention of our public rights of way, use of green spaces, and working with multi agencies to support health, well being and the vulnerable, and so much more.

COVID regs permitting, we aim to organise regular small events for the community. Keep an eye on our web page, social media, newsletters, and parish notice boards.

As always, councillors and staff are here to assist you with your concerns or questions.

I look forward to working for you, and with you, over the next year, and sincerely hope I can meet many of you. As always, stay safe.
