MyTelford smartphone app launched

Last week, Telford & Wrekin Council (TWC) launched its new MyTelford app for smartphones, allowing residents to access Council services from anywhere.

Described as the “new and improved” version of the Everyday Telford app, the latter will eventually be turned off as the MyTelford app replaces it.

The app is available for free on both iOS and Android devices.

Both versions will allow users to use their smartphones to access services including reporting potholes, finding out about leisure centre offers, requesting new bins, and general news and information.

“As part of the Council Plan, we want to provide a community-focussed, innovative council providing efficient, effective and quality services,” said Councillor Shaun Davies, Leader of TWC, in a Newsroom post about about the launch of the app. “The MyTelford app encompasses this perfectly as it enables residents to access council services immediately, wherever they are in the borough.

“With such a breadth of information, we hope that the app will continue to help all residents live well in their community.”

As part of the launch, TWC has released a series of video guides to help residents learn how to use the app. You can find the video guides on the TWC website.
