Lawley and Overdale Parish Council has been advised that a footpath on Martingale Way, Lawley will be closed to pedestrians from 22 November 2021.
RR Groundworks Limited has sent a letter out to residents today explaining that the work is to enable them to complete sewer connections for the new housing phase. “These works are designed to alleviate the flooding issues that have been previously experienced on this site”, the letter explains.
As well as closing the temporary footpath, the works area will also reduce the width of the carriageway. RR Groundworks has included a map and satellite photograph to show the affected areas in their letter. You can download the full letter below.
The works will begin on 22 November 2021, and are planned to finish on 4 December 2021.
