Here’s wishing everybody in Lawley and Overdale a Happy New Year! While we recover from the festivities and try to stick to our resolutions, why not have a look back at the events we held just before the holidays?
There were three Christmas events across the parish – one in Dawley Bank, one in Overdale, and one in Lawley. We have photos from all of them. Maybe you appear in them? Let’s take a look!
Dawley Bank Festive Fun
Dawley Bank Festive Fun, which was held by Great Dawley Town Council with some funding provided by Lawley and Overdale Parish Council, took place on 3 December across Dawley Baptist Church and the Jubilee Woods.
Overdale Christmas Fayre
The Overdale Christmas Fayre took place at the Carpenter Centre on 11 December. It was attended mostly by local businesses running stalls selling their products. Santa, of course, was available to talk to children!
Lawley Christmas Fayre
Lawley Christmas Fayre took place around the war memorial on 18 December. By far the biggest of the three events, it featured stalls of all kinds, Santa’s grotto, and carol singers. We didn’t keep track of how many people attended, but we’re pretty sure it was everybody!
We hope everybody attending had a great time. The reception was great and we’re definitely going to be looking at holding similar events in the future, so keep your eyes open later in the year!
