Resident’s drop in session at The Carpenter Family Centre

Residents from Overdale are invited to attend a drop in session on Tuesday 19 July 2022, 6:00pm to 7:30pm to discuss their ideas on what groups and activities they would like to see now the centre is open once again for the community to use.

At the reopening of the centre on Saturday 25 June 2022, as part of the Safer, Stronger Communities initiative from Telford and Wrekin Council, residents put forward some brilliant ideas and expressed an interest in becoming involved.

A previous survey undertaken by Lawley and Overdale Parish Council showed that residents were keen to see the community centre be used for a variety of events and activities, such as a youth club and coffee mornings, and that this is still the case following it’s reopening.

Officers from the Community Support Team at Telford and Wrekin Council, along with Ward Councillors and staff from Lawley and Overdale Parish Council will be on hand to provide help and advice to those who would like to be involved.

Advice will be available on how to start and maintain any potential groups, access to various funding opportunities and potential training.

We look forward to meeting you all again.
