Phase 11: Shallow mine works to be completed by the end of the month

The Lawley Village Developer Group has sent out a letter announcing that the shallow mine works currently underway on Phase 11, Lawley, are due to be completed by the end of September 2022.

The full content of the letter is reproduced below:

As part of our commitment to keeping you updated on our work at Lawley Village, I am writing to inform you that the ongoing shallow mining works at Phase 11 of the development are due to be completed by the end of this month, September 2022.

Your continued cooperation and understanding throughout the duration of these works is greatly appreciated and we apologise for any inconvenience caused by unexpected delays.

Starting from Monday 26th September, and as per the approved planning agreement, we will be carrying out works on the retained slope at Phase 11, which will last approximately six weeks. For reference, the approved plans can be viewed on Telford & Wrekin Council’s online planning portal.

These latest construction works will enable the slope to be built and the associated area of land above to be levelled, resulting in a safe and secure area.

Whilst these works are ongoing, there will be a slightly increased level of traffic in and out of the development. However, we will not be required to transport materials daily and disturbances to residents will be kept to an absolute minimum.
