Our Parish Environmental Team (PET), as part of the Community Action Team (CAT), has been out and about in Overdale and Lawley this week, tidying footpaths and cutting back hedges. The first signs of spring were also spotted in the Community Garden!
Our PET operative’s first stop was next to Newdale School, off the Rock Road, where a footpath was in danger of being engulfed by foliage.

Next it was off to the Lawley Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA), where some prickly-looking hedges were getting a little too big for their boots.

Most recently, our PET operative went down Lawley Drive to fight off some grass that was trying to migrate onto the tarmac along the footpath and pedestrian crossing area.

And while out-and-about today, our PET operative noticed the first signs of spring appearing in Lawley Community Garden.
Spring is coming…

Our PET operative is always out and about working on problems like this in the parish. Please let us know if you find any spots that need work!
And our thanks to the people who noticed the works – we’ll pass on your feedback to the PET!
