Telford & Wrekin Council has announced ‘Telford’s Big Walk Week’, a series of guided walks and other activities due to take place across the borough between 29 May and 4 June.
Known in previous years as Get Telford Walking, and initially organised by the Telford T50 50 Mile Trail group, the Big Walk Week is now bigger than before and features more Council support and expanded activities.
Big Walk Week will be a week of free walks and activities, starting on 29 May 2023 and ending on 4 June 2023. Whether you choose to walk, ramble, stroll, or waddle, the event is open to all ages and abilities.
Aside from being a chance to get out and get some exercise, it’s also an opportunity to discover new areas of the borough.
Participants will be guided by experts who will highlight the wildlife, nature, and places of interest you’ll pass on your way. There’s will also be talks, workshops, and more to enjoy including:
- Forest School
- China Craft clay workshop and walk
- Eco garden and tour
- Story telling stroll
- Batty about bats walk
- Walk the park run
