Lawley & Overdale Parish Council would like to welcome its new Councillor Emma Holding to the Parish Ward of Overdale and The Rock.
Following her successful co-option to the Parish Council, Councillor Holding says that she “is thrilled to be joining the Council and looks forward to serving the residents of the Parish “. Councillor Holding joins Councillor Mark Boylan for the Ward of Overdale and The Rock.
Emma’s Background
Having lived in the Parish area for 20 years, both her, now grown up, children attended the SureStart Nursery at the Carpenter Family Centre, before starting at Newdale Nursery and later Lawley Primary School.
With a huge interest and passion for children and young people’s provision, Councillor Holding was involved in

establishing a local Cub Scout group in 2014 , which later encompassed Beavers, both of which are still very much part of the local community today. She is aware of the lack of facilities for young residents and is “very keen to be involved in more projects involving young people and the community”.
Working as a Recruiter for the past sixteen years, more recently with a global technological company, she enjoys assisting people with their career path, from motivational tools to advice on CV’s and is more than happy to offer support and advice to anyone who may need it.
