Staff Vacancy – Community Projects, Events and Assets Officer

Applications are invited for the position of a Community Projects, Events & Assets Officer. This is an interesting and varied position, within a growing Parish, that involves delivering projects and a wide range of community activities. The role also includes the strategic responsibility for the Parish Council’s assets.

Lawley & Overdale Parish Council serves the communities of Lawley Village, Overdale, The Rock, Newdale, Old Park and parts of Dawley Bank.

The Parish Council comprises of eight Councillors, covering five Parish Wards and five Borough Wards, supported by the Clerk/Responsible Finance Officer and the Deputy Clerk/Projects and Events Officer.

Hours of work and pay

The role is full time at 37 hours per week and is based at the Parish Council office in Lawley, with some meetings to take place in other locations. A full event programme will involve flexible working during the evenings and at weekends.

The salary is calculated according to the National Joint Council for Local Government Services (NJC) and will be dependant upon qualifications and/or experience within the range of SCP 18- 23 £27,344- £30,151.

The closing date for the receipt of applications is 5:00pm on Friday 22nd September 2023 and the interviews shall take place the week commencing Monday 2nd October 2023.
