STROWP – TELFORD TRAIL WALK

You are Invited

To take part in the ‘10th Anniversary’ of the

THE TELFORD TRAIL

Sunday 15th September 2013

The Telford Trail Walk takes place along The South Telford Way starting from Telford Town Park.

The Telford Trail is organised by the South Telford Rights of Way Partnership. It is a 12 mile (approximately) long-distance, fully way-marked, circular walk (with the option of a shorter distance) through some of the most beautiful and historic urban countryside in South Telford.  This designated Green Network contains areas of open space and landscape heritage of great ecological and conservation value.

The Telford Trail provides the opportunity for participants to complete a walk for pleasure or as a way of raising money for charity.

Over the past eight years this annual event has raised around £20,000 for nominated charities or causes.

Greatly valued sponsorship is received from ‘All Terrain’ (outdoor clothing & equipment store) in Telford Town Centre.  On this 10th Anniversary event, the entrant who raises the largest amount for a charitable or community cause will receive a £100 All Terrain Gift Voucher in recognition of their achievement. There will also be a 2nd & 3rd prize of £50 & £25 All Terrain Gift Vouchers as well, donated by STROWP.

Excessive dust being generated in Lawley

We have received reports that an excessive amount of dust is being generated from the phase 6 building works in Lawley. The developers have been contacted and they will 'dampen down' wherever possible to reduce this nuisance. Please do let us know if you experience any further problems.

Update re Traffic lights at Lawley Crossroads

We are aware that there are still some timings issues with the lights at the Lawley crossroads. We have been advised by TWC Highways that they are waiting for a new computer board to reschedule the sequences as this has been the fault for a while but they have been unable to fix it on the current board. The works should be completed within the next 72 hours. As always please let us know of any issues/concerns that you notice.
