LVDG will carrying out some further works on the above sites which are in relation to additional Site Investigation works.
As of the 24th April, next week, we will be carrying out the placement of pegs to identify the positions of both rotary bore holes locations and settlement monitoring points . As you are aware the Lawley area historically has been used for various types of mining activates including opencast mining and although there has been Site Investigation works (SI) carried out in the past we need to undertake some further works so that we can complete the picture.
Therefore we will be setting up these pegs within the above phases initially excluding the areas that are let for horse grazing. Once these pegs are in and as some of them will be within wooded areas we will be contacting TWC Trees Officer so that we can walk these areas to seek his input/approval as we will need to make arrangements for some of these areas to be cleared of trees and ground cover scrub.
As for the areas that are currently let for grazing we will be looking to come back and work through these areas at the beginning of June. Once all of the pegs are in we will then be looking to undertake the additional SI works which will involve the use of a drilling rig.
