Our Parish Environmental Team (PET), as part of the Community Action Team (CAT), has been out and about on Arleston Lane and the Rock Road this week, taking care of Mother Nature’s littering!
The surface of a footpath on Arleston Lane had been colonised by some moss, which aside from being unattractive could have posed a slippery hazard. Until our PET operative got to work scraping it away again.
- A stationary footpath gathers lots of moss.
- But a dedicated PET operative can get rid of it again.
Meanwhile, over on the Rock Road bus stop, the trees had decided to rebel against the ‘Keep Britain Tidy’ message and deposit their leaves all over the place. Our PET operative was able to leaf the area looking much tidier.
- Trees are not eligible to receive fixed penalty notices for littering, unfortunately.
- Thankfully our PET operative can keep on top of things anyway.
Our PET operative is always out and about working on problems like this in the parish. Please let us know if you find any spots that need work!
