Our Parish Environmental Team (PET), as part of the Community Action Team (CAT), has been out and about in Lawley and Dawley Bank this week, doing some routine tidying-up.
The first stop was in Glendale, Lawley, where some moss was attempting to carpet-over a footpath. Some studious scraping by our PET operative revealed the less slippery Tarmac surface once more.
- We’re not opposed to carpets, but mossy carpets can be slippery.
- Tarmac is much better.
Next, over at the top of Station Road, Dawley Bank, adjoining Millners Lane, our PET operative went to task on a ‘buddleia’, which had grown sufficiently out-of-control that it was blocking the sight lines from the road.
- Now you can’t see…
- …and now you can.
Our PET operative is always out and about working on problems like this in the parish. Please let us know if you find any spots that need work!
