Please find attached information that outlines the traffic management arrangements for a temporary road closure along Mossey Green Way, Ketley Bank, Mossey Green Roundabout, The Rock, Old Park Way, Old Park, Park Lane, Old Park and Bellpit Road, The Rock

Balfour Beatty on behalf of Telford and Wrekin Council are planning to undertake Resurfacing Works. The work is set to commence on Monday 19th August 2019 and will last for a duration of 15 days with an end date of Friday 30th August 2019.

The diversion route for vehicles travelling in all directions will be signed on site.

PET WORK WEEK COMMENCING 1ST JULY

Work was completed in the following areas:

  • Swept up broken glass from the road on West Centre Way near the town centre
  • Sowed wildflower seed in the flower beds at Lawley Drive, Arleston Lane, Overdale and on Lawley Village Green
  • Painted the handrail on the footbridge entrance to Lawley Community Garden
  • Painted 2 benches and 2 planters in Lawley Community Garden
  • Painted bollards on Lawley Village Green
  • Mowed the grass verge on Wrekin Trundle
  • Mowed along the bridleway from West Centre Way crossing to Gresham Drive
  • Mowed the verge along Rock Road bridleway
  • Mowed around the bench, bins and the entrance to Bellpit Open Space
  • Cut back the hedge to improve the sight line at The Rock junction with Rock Road.
  • Mowed the verge on the Wrekin path at the rear of Newdale School
  • Removed a fly tipped cupboard from the side of the road on Arleston Lane
  • Cut back overhang from the footpath on Arleston Lane
  • Cut back overhang from the bridleway near Newdale Pool
  • Hard pruned shrubs at the entrance to Bartholomew Road to improve the sight line for pedestrians crossing the road
  • Sprayed weeds on the gravel strip around the island on Lawley Drive at Lawley Gate
  • Litter picked the Play Area at the caravan park on Dawley Road and scraped moss off the tarmac
  • Cut off an overhanging branch from the footpath on Colliers Way
  • Removed a dumped ALDI trolley from the footpath on Old Office Road

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE (ARLESTON LANE (PEPPER MILL) LAWLEY

Please find attached information that outlines the traffic management arrangements for a temporary road closure along Arleston Lane (Pepper Mill), Lawley.

Balfour Beatty on behalf of Telford & Wrekin Council are planning to undertake highway improvement works. The work is set to commence on Monday, 12th August 2019 and will last for a duration of 19 days between the hours of 7.30am – 16.30pm Monday – Friday (excluding Bank Holiday’s) and Saturday’s between the hours of 8.00am – 16.00pm with an end date of  Friday, 30th August 2019. 

The diversion route for vehicular traffic travelling in all directions will be signed on site.

School Safety Zone Project Lawley Primary School

Information received from Telford & Wrekin Council:

As part of the Council’s ongoing investment into its roads and footpaths, we will shortly be delivering a school safety zone project by Lawley Primary School along Pepper Mill road, this will include the installation of a new Controlled Zebra crossing adjacent to Lawley Primary School and Number 33 Pepper Mill.

Works will involve the installation of the new crossing and associated footway links including a small retaining wall.

When are we planning to deliver this work?

The work is due to take place on Monday 12th August 2019 and be completed by Monday 2nd September 2019 weather permitting. Works will be completed under a daytime Road Closure.  The road will be closed during working hours then re-opened late afternoon. Traffic management and diversion plans for this scheme are attached.

We will be working between 07:30-16:30hrs and will have our dedicated teams on site to assist you during this time to help you get past the working areas safely should you need to do so.
