PET WORK WEEK COMMENCING 8TH APRIL

Work was completed in the following areas:

  • cleared up concrete left by workmen following the removal of signposts on the grass verge
  • removed a fly tip of household waste from the bottom of Rock Road by the motorway bridge
  • swept up glass from the fly tip incident above
  • removed a household waste fly tip from the verge on Bellpit Road
  • litter picked Lawley Community Garden
  • weeded around the railings on the footpath off Teawell Close
  • swept the footpath and weeded around the pedestrian crossing on West Centre Way behind Morrisons
  • weeded the shrub beds on Old Park Open Space
  • mowed the grass verges on the Wrekin Trundle
  • mowed around the entrance to the bridleway off Wes Centre Way
  • removed a small commercial fly tip on Colliers Way
  • weeded the flower beds and herb garden in the Community Garden
  • cut back overhang and removed a broken branch from the Community Garden
  • assisted IDVERDE with a tidy up at the caravan site off Dawley Road
  • strimmed around the railings on the West Centre Way footbridge
  • strimmed around the verge to improve the sight line for traffic on Rock Road at the former dog grooming site
  • strimmed down the wildflower beds on Lawley Drive
  • strimmed around the pond on Lawley Village Green
  • strimmed around the entrance to Overdale and Blackbird Close off Rock Road

Work was completed in the following areas:

  • pruned overhanging holly at the rear of Newdale School
  • removed fallen branches from the grass verge at St Helier
  • pruned the path edge and removed overhanging branches from the path at Park Road
  • removed fly tipped garden waste from outside the Linden Centre, Overdale
  • swept up broken glass from the pavement on Rock Road motorway bridge
  • swept debris from the decking at Old Park pond and removed mud from the footpath
  • removed debris after vandals set fire to the bench at Old Park pond
  • removed a fly tip of household waste from Colliers Way
  • removed overhanging branches from the footpath at Glendale opposite the village green
  • swept grass from the footpath following the TWC tractor mow on Bellpit Open Space, Lawley Village Green and Overdale playing field
  • weeded  the path edge at Glendale bus stop
  • scraped mud from the footpath and swept at Princes End car park
  • swept bark and mud from the path at Old Park pond
  • edged around the bus stop on Station Road

PET WORK COMPLETED WEEK COMMENCING 14TH JANUARY

Work was completed in the following areas

  • Removed broken glass from the footpath on Dawley Road near to St Johns Church
  • Removed a fly tip of household rubbish from Grove Road, Overdale
  • Weeded the shrub beds at Old Park pond and topped up with fresh bark
  • Swept up broken glass from the kerb edge at Old Office Road
  • Scraped moss from the kerb edges on all approaches to the traffic island at the Lawley Gate end of Lawley Drive
  • Weeded the area around Lawley Village Green pond, edged the shrub bed and topped up with bark
  • Tidied up and weeded around the picnic tables on Lawley Village Green
  • Removed debris and reeds from the pond at Lawley Village Green
  • Scraped grass and weeds from the footpath around the pond
  • Reported the broken up footpath surface at the pond to Telford & Wrekin Council for repair
  • Removed a damaged road sign from the carriageway on Lawley Drive

  • Removed a fly tip of household rubbish from Grove Road, Overdale
  • Removed a fly tip of household rubbish from Cedar Close, Overdale
  • Scraped mud and leaves from the Parking area at Cedar Close, Overdale
  •  Removed glass from the road at Cedar Close, Overdale
  • Scraped mud from the path on the Wrekin Trundle
  • Pruned side growth from trees off Martingale Way
  • Swept broken glass from the road on West Centre Way
  • Pruned the large shrub bed at the top of West Centre Way near St Helier and the footbridge
  • Pruned shrubs from the sight line near the junction of Village Drive and Glendale
  • Pruned overgrowth at the bottom of the Wrekin Trundle blocking the sight line from the car park at St Johns church
  • Reported a damaged road sign on Dawley road to Highways
  • Scraped a large area of grass and mud from the path at the top of Ironbridge Way
  • Litter picked in Lawley Community Garden
  • Removed a large plastic sheet from the carriageway on Lawley Drive
  • Scraped mud from the footpath at Arleston Bridge and swept clear of leaves

  • Blew the path clear of debris from Bartholomew Road to Lawley Village Green
  • cut back brambles off path edge on the Public Right of Way from Rock Road to the Ironbridge Way
  • cut back overhanging branches from the path on Ironbridge Way at Newdale
  • removed a fly tipped bag of household rubbish from the grass verge on Old Park Way
  • dead headed the roses at the Community Garden
  • strimmed the path and blew the steps clear of debris off Ironbridge Way
  • strimmed around the handrail and blew clear of debris at Princes End
  • pruned the hedgerow at St Heliers
  • Pruned around the handrail and improved the sight line from Avondale onto Station Road
  • pruned overhang off the cemetery wall
  • watered the raised beds at the Community Garden
  • Pruned bridge entrance to Community Garden
  • Hard pruned the holly from the path edge in the Community Garden
  • Strimmed, litter picked and blew clear of debris the footpath at the side of Lawley Primary School
  • two small fly tips removed from the Dawley Road end of Ironbridge Way
  • returned a number of large rolls of industrial plastic sheeting stolen from the building site off Lawley Drive and dumped on the Ironbridge Way
