The Job Box is holding a number of drop in sessions to local communities throughout Telford & Wrekin, for people of all ages and from all backgrounds and will be outside the shop in Overdale on Wednesday 24th August from 1:00pm – 3:00pm.

The team can help with applying for jobs and can also point you in the right direction if you are thinking of undertaking a new course.  Perhaps you are looking to improve your wellbeing or increase your confidence, if so there are people who can help you achieve this.

Telford and Wrekin Council have confirmed the number of Covid-19 cases within the borough for the week ending 19 July.

• 15 confirmed cases of Covid-19
• The average number of infections in the last week was higher to the West Midlands and England average
• There has now been a total of 621 confirmed cases in Telford and Wrekin since the outbreak began

There has been an increase in confirmed cases this week compared to last week.

Are you considering a change in career or looking for new employment? Have you thought about becoming a firefighter?

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service have announced that they will be recruiting wholetime firefighters this Autumn.

The role of a firefighter is much more than tackling fires, it also involves responding to incidents such as road traffic collisions, floods, animal and open water rescues.

Several taster days are being held throughout July and August and are aimed at encouraging people from under represented groups to apply to become a firefighter.
