PET WORK WEEK COMMENCING 16TH OCTOBER

The PET spent the first 3 days of this week putting up over 300 Remembrance Poppies on lampposts across the Parish.

In addition work was completed in the following areas:

  • pruned an overhanging rose from the footpath by Lawley Primary School
  • blew the footpath clear of leaves from the Pepper Mill / Bartholomew Road junction to the path off Lawley Village Green
  • blew leaves from the footpath by St Johns Church on Dawley Road
  • blew leaves from the footpath on the Wrekin Trundle
  • swept broken glass from the footpath at Lawley Primary School
  • cut brambles back from the hard standing area at St Saviours Close

PET WORK WEEK COMMENCING 9TH OCTOBER

Work was completed in the following areas:

  • Blew leaves and debris from around the croassing at Rock Road traffic lights
  • Blew leaves from the Route To School footpath at the rear of Newdale School
  • Blew leaves from the footpath from the M54 bridge to the Arleston Inn
  • Blew leaves from the footpath on Rock Road from Marlborough Way to the Overdale crossing
  • pruned shrubs back from the log roll border on West Centre Way at St Helier
  • Pruned back cotoneaster on the open space at Old Park
  • Pruned shrub beds at Old Park open space
  • cut back overgrowth from the steps off Ironbridge Way
  • cut back shrubs around the pond on Lawley Village Green
  • painted a wooden bench in the Community Garden
  • strimmed and blew the grass paths from Churchward Drive to Teawell Close
  • strimmed around the pond at Lawley Village Green
  • litter picked around the kissing gate between Lawley Village Green and the Playing Field

PET WORK WEEK COMMENCING 2ND OCTOBER

Work was completed in the following areas:

  • Sprayed the path edge on The Wrekin Trundle
  • Pruned lavender and dead headed roses in the Community Garden
  • removed a small fly tip from Cemetery Road
  • Pruned back cornus at Old Park to improve the sight line for traffic on Park Lane
  • Blew the steps clear of leaves and debris at Acer Close open space
  • Raked up leaves at the bus stop on Glendale
  • Raked up leaves at Glendale Circle
  • Raked up leaves from the Pepper Mill / Bartholomew Road junction to the path off Lawley Village Green
  • Litter picked and pruned in the Community Garden

 

 

PET WORK WEEK COMMENCING 25TH SEPTEMBER

Work was completed in the following areas:

  • Mowed the grass area by the shrub bed at Dawley Bank
  • Broken branch removed  at Old Park pond and litter picked
  • Swept up broken glass on the splitter island at Old Park
  • Strimmed the grass at the verge on the corner of Village Drive
  • Strimmed and blew debris from the footpath from Arleston pub to the bridge
  • Strimmed nettles under hedgerow at the entrance to Bartholomew Road
  • Removed a slab from the road at West Centre Way island
  • Scraped weeds from the kerb edge at Cedar Close parking bays
  • Scraped weeds from the wall line from 31 Cedar Close
  • Scraped weeds from  the car parking bays at 42-44 Cedar Close
  • Removed fallen pine branches from the path at West Centre Way
  • Mowed the path on the bridleway at Rock Road
  • Mowed the  small grass area at Princes End car park
  • Mowed the grass paths from Churchward Drive to Teawell Close
  • Mowed the path on Wrekin Trundle
  • Mowed round the bus stops on Station Road
  • Blew pine needles off the footpath from the rear of Thomas Telford School to near the Severn Gorge pub
  • Blew debris from the footpath from the end of Park Road to Cemetery Road, through the woods
  • Blew leaf debris from the footpath at St Helier’s Drive to West Centre Way footbridge
  • Pruned large self-set saplings down to ground level in the Community Garden
  • Pruned and tidied the herb bed at the Community Garden

PET WORK WEEK COMMENCING 18TH SEPTEMBER

Work was completed in the following areas:

  • Completed the painting of bollards on Lawley Village Green
  • Cut back overhanging roses from the footpath on West Centre Way behind Thomas Telford School
  • Cut self-set ash trees  out from around Old Park Pool
  • Removed broken glass from the footbridge at West Centre Way
  • litter picked the Community Garden
  • Pruned low branches blocking the sight line at Village Drive junction
  • Fallen tree removed from the side of the road at Arleston Lane
  • Cut back overhanging branches from the rear of Newdale School
  • Cut back overhanging branches from the path at Churchward Drive and litter picked
  • Pruned overhang from Mossey Green Way and around the traffic signs
  • Deadheaded roses in the Community Garden
  • Removed broken branches from the corner of Bartholomew Road and Pepper Mill
  • Blew debris from the footpath around Arleston Lane motorway bridge
  • Blew debris from the footpath between Grove Road and the motorway underpass
