PET WORK WEEK COMMENCING 26TH AUGUST

Work was completed in the following areas:

  • Pruned overgrowth back from the bridleway off Rock Road towards Bellpit Open Space
  • Pruned around the entrance to the public right of way off Station Road
  • Pruned along the alleyway and around the handrail from Avondale to Station Road
  • Pruned overgrowth back off the footpath in the footbridge off Arleston Lane
  • Blew debris from the footpath from Park Road to Cemetery Road
  • Removed a small fly tip off West Centre Way by Thomas Telford School
  • Mowed the grass verge on the Wrekin Trundle
  • Mowed the grass verge on the Wrekin Way and the footpath at the rear of Charlecote Park
  • Shovelled stone back onto the path which had been washed down from the area around the sub-station in Princes End
  • Mowed the grass verge on the bridleway off Rock Road
  • Cut back brambles from the footpath on The Rock
  • Mowed the grass area in Princes End car park
  • Mowed along the bridleway off Gresham Drive
  • Strimmed and blew debris from the path at the rear of Charlecote Park
  • Blew debris from the steps on the footpath by the old tram bridge at Newdale
  • Blow debris from the Wrekin Way footpath which is designated as a safer route to school
  • Strimmed and blew debris from the link path between the Wrekin Way and The Rock
  • Cut back overhanging nettles from Wrekin Way footpath
  • Blew debris from the path across Lawley Village Green following the tractor mow
  • Blew debris from the path across Lawley Community Garden following the tractor mow
  • Removed a small fly tip from Cedar Close
  • Assisted with a litter pick on the play area at the Dawley Road Caravan site

  • Cut back overhang from Lawley Gate bridge
  • Cut back overhanging wild rose from the footpath at the rear of Lawley Primary School
  • Cut back brambles from the alleyway at Grove Road
  • Cut back brambles from the footpath on Acer Close open space
  • Pruned around the steps from Acer Close to The Rock
  • Pruned around Lawley circle off Glendale to improve the sight line
  • Pruned overhang back from the footpath off Wrekin Trundle
  • Pruned back nettles and brambles from the footpath on Rock Road by the entrance to Marlborough Way
  • Cut back ferns at the end of the right of way from Ironbridge Way to Overdale traffic lights
  • Mowed around obstacles, street lights, bins and the bench on Bellpit Open Space
  • Mowed the path edges on Rock Road bridle way
  • Mowed the path edges on the Wrekin Trundle
  • Mowed the grass verge on The Wrekin Way at the rear of Newdale School
  • Mowed the path edges on the right of way from Ironbridge Way to Charlecote Park
  • Scraped mud off the Wrekin Way footpath and blew clear of debris
  • Removed dumped metal sheeting off the grass verge on Lawley Drive
  • Scraped mud off the footpath on the Wrekin Trundle
  • Scraped mud from around the entrance to Bellpit Open Space
  • Blew debris from the alleyway footpath, cleaned up conifer needles and scraped weeds off the steps off Cedar Close
  • Blew the path clear of conifer needles on Valley Road
  • Blew debris from the steps on Acer Close open space
  • Strimmed around the old tram bridge and blew clear of debris
  • Cut out brambles growing from the tram bridge wall
  • Blew paths clear of debris after tractor grass cutting on Overdale play area, Bellpit open space, Lawley Village Green and Lawley Playing Fields
  • Strimmed around the two bus stops and litter picked off Station Road
  • Strimmed and litter picked around the entrance to the bridleway off West Centre Way towards Newdale pool
  • Replaced a damaged history trail marker on Dawley Bank
  • Cut back brambles from the footpath on Colliers Way bridge
  • Pruned back to improve the sight line coming out of Colliers Way onto Old Park roundabout
  • Litter picked a large amount of McDonalds litter which appeared to have been dropped out of a car at the top of West Centre Way by Old Park roundabout
  • Removed two trolleys, Morrisons and Asda, dumped off Cemetery Road
  • Removed a fly tipped radiator from the side of the road at Princes End
  • Pruned suckers from around trees at the bottom of Station Road near Hunters Rise
  • Cut back brambles from the bridle way entrance on Rock Road
  • Cut to ground level suckers around trees on the grass area opposite Dawley Bank shop
  • Pruned around the shrub bed to the side of Dawley Bank shop
  • Pruned across the top of the log roll off St Heliers at Old Park roundabout
  • Weeded around the bus stop on Glendale near Lawley Village shop
  • Cleaned up broken glass off the footpath at Cedar Close

Work was completed in the following areas:

  • Cleared up broken branches in the Community garden after high winds at the weekend
  • Pruned back overgrowth from the path around to Old Park pool off The Crest
  • Pruned brambles from around the bench at Old Park pond
  • Pruned overhanging roses from the hedge at the front of St Heliers
  • Pruned around the hedge at the entrance from Bartholomew Road to Lawley Village Green
  • Pruned inside and outside the long Community garden hedge off Tom Morgan Close
  • Removed a dumped B&Q trolley from the top of West Centre Way near Colliers Way
  • Picked up a large metal sheet from the middle of road at Old Park roundabout
  • Removed a dumped Asda trolley from Old Park pond
  • Cut back overhang from the footpath at the rear of Thomas Telford School
  • Cut back brambles from the right of way at The Rock
  • Cut back brambles over hanging the footpath down Rock Road
  • Removed a fly tipped baby’s play pen from Rock Road
  • Pruned the privet hedges along Arleston Lane
  • Removed a dumped TK Maxx trolley from Old Office Road
