Work was completed in the following areas:

  • Ongoing work sweeping up crab apples daily from the footpath between Pepper Mill and Lawley Primary School
  • Litter picked around Newdale War Memorial area
  • Blew debris and scraped mud off the Wrekin Trundle path
  • Cleared beech husks from the footpath at Glendale bus stop
  • Blew debris from the footpath from Lawley Playing Fields to Glendale designated as a school route
  • Blew leaves and debris from the footpath from Bartholomew Road to Lawley Village Green
  • Blew leaves and debris from Acer Close steps
  • Blew leaves and debris from the steps leading to Old Park pond
  • Blew leaves and debris from the footpath from the bottom of Park Road to Cemetery Road
  • Pruned and weeded the shrub bed and blew leaves from the path near Dawley Bank shop
  • Sprayed weeds at the fence line on the Wrekin Way at the rear of Newdale School
  • Blew leaves and debris from the Overdale side of the Wrekin Way
  • Blew leaves from the steps on the footpath off the Ironbridge Way at Newdale
  • Put up over 250 lamp post poppies around the Parish
  • Collected Street Champions blue litter pick bags from the Dawley Road
  • Weeded around the Newdale War Memorial shrub bed
  • Swept mud from the path around the War Memorial
  • Swept up broken glass from the footpath at the bottom of Rock Road
  • Picked up two radiators fly tipped outside the Cemetery on Cemetery Road

  • Blew beech tree husks from the footpath at Glendale bus stop
  • Scraped mud off the Wrekin Way footpath at the rear of Newdale pool
  • Blew leaves and debris from the footpath at Lawley Gate
  • Blew debris from the footpath on The Wrekin Trundle
  • Blew debris from the footpath from the Arleston Inn pub to the M54 bridge
  • Reported a large fly tip for removal from on Arleston Lane
  • Blew leaves from the footpath from Lawley Village Green to Bartholomew Road
  • Blew leaves and scraped mud from the footpath from West Centre Way footbridge to St Heliers
  • Swept up broken glass from the entrance to Overdale
  • Blew the footpath clear of pine needles at Cedar Close
  • Replaced a missing padlock from the barrier gate at Rock Road bridle way
  • Blew leaves and debris from Old Park steps and around Old Park Village green
  • Repaired ruts in the grass verge left by a broken-down vehicle at the top of West Centre Way
  • Blew leaves and debris from the footpath along Old Office Road
  • Swept up and removed fallen crab apples off the footpath outside the front of 31 Church Croft and around the designated school route for Lawley Primary School
  • Swept up broken glass off the footpath at Glendale bus stop
  • Refitted a bat box onto the tree in Lawley Community Garden
  • Blew leaves and debris from the school route path from Overdale to Marlborough Way and also removed a large fly tipped metal frame off the footpath

  • Removed a fly tipped car wheel and other debris from the old garage site and car parking bays at Overdale

  • Blew leaves and debris off the footpath from West Centre Way footbridge to St Heliers
  • Cleared debris and leaves from the designated school route from Marlborough Way to Overdale traffic lights
  • Blew leaves from the footpath from Park Road to Cemetery Road
  • Cleared leaves from the wall line at the front of Dawley Bank cemetery
  • Cleared leaves from the footpath at Glendale pedestrian crossing and around the Circle
  • Blew leaves and debris off the footpath from Rock Road to The Rock
  • Cleared leaves from the steps at Acer Close
  • Cleared leaves and fallen branches from around Lawley Community Garden
  • Cleared grass from the footpaths at Lawley Village Green after the tractor mowing
  • Removed two dead trees from the hardstanding area at the side of the Grazing Cow
  • Dead headed roses in Lawley Community Garden
  • Landscaped and planted up around the War Memorial at Newdale
  • War Memorial hard standing area – Weeded and scraped the hardstanding area off Gresham Drive, blew the area clear of debris, pruned the privets and tidied the shrub beds
  • Assisted with a litter pick on the play area at the travellers site off Dawley Road
  • Reported a large flytip for removal from land at Newdale

  • Shovelled a large pile of soil off the footpath at Cedar Close, Overdale
  • Blew fallen beech tree husks from the footpath by Glendale bus stop – ongoing work required every other day
  • Mowed the grass on the Wrekin Trundle
  • Mowed the verge along the Right Of Way off Rock Road
  • Mowed around street furniture on Bellpit open space
  • Mowed the grass edges on the rights of way at the rear of Newdale School
  • Repaired a broken fence on Milners Lane opposite the bungalows at Princes End
  • Removed a fly tipped bag of household rubbish from Milners Lane
  • Removed two fly tipped bags of household rubbish from Cedar Close
  • Blew debris from the footpath from Arleston Lane to the Wrekin Way footbridge
  • Blew leaves from the footpath from Newdale Pool to Rock Road traffic lights
  • Blew debris from the footpath from Arleston Inn pub to the M54 bridge
  • Weeded and blew debris from St Johns church wall line and the footpath
  • Blew leaves and moss from the school route path from Overdale traffic lights to Marlborough Way
  • Blew debris from the steps leading from The Crest at Old Park to Old Park pond
  • Litter picked in Lawley Community Garden
  • Blew debris from the path in the alleyway leading from Lawley playing fields to Glendale
  • Removed a build- up of pine needles from the footpath near the Land Registry office to Thomas Telford island
  • Blew debris from the footpath from Park Road to Cemetery Road
  • Lifted low tree branches at Lawley Village Green to help with ride on mowing
  • Cut back low overhang from the right of way at the rear of Newdale School
  • Repaired a damaged grit bin lid on Overdale
  • Blew debris from the end of the underpass at Grove Road to the alley way at the top to keep the school route clear
  • Removed a fly tipped bag of household rubbish from Park Lane, Old Park
  • Dead headed roses at Lawley Community Garden
  • Cut back overhang on the right of way from Charlecote Park to Ironbridge Way
  • Removed two dumped trolleys from Old Park pond

 

Parish Lamppost Poppies

 

The Parish Council  are supporting the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal again this year by putting up over 200 lamppost poppies across the Parish. Thank you to Bob of the Parish Environmental Team who will be out in all weathers to put the poppies up.
