PET Work week commencing 14th November

The team spent Monday of this week removing over 130 poppies  from lampposts following Remembrance Day.

Work was also completed in the following areas:photo0563 photo0565

  • Cleared moss and leaves from the steps on the footpath to the rear of Acer Close and edged 34 steps with wire to make them safer during winter weather
  • Scraped and cleared the footpath on Arleston Lane
  • Pruned the hedge from  the corner of Marlborough Way  along Rock Road and cleared leaves and moss from the length of the hedge

PET work week commencing 7th November

The team spent most of this week putting poppies on over 130 lampposts around Lawley in support of the residents “Sponsor A Poppy” Appeal.

However work was also completed in the following areas:photo0559 photo0561

  • Pruning around Glendale Circle to improve the sight line for traffic
  • Putting wire on the steps at Acer Close
  • Clearing leaves from paths on Rock Road, Bartholomew Road, Glendale Circle, Milners Lane and Park Road
  • Putting dog fouling signs on the paths to the rear of Newdale School
  • Pruned and mowed along the bridleway between Churchward Drive and the rear of Newdale School
  • Pruning on West Centre Way

PET Work week commencing 31st October

  • Sprayed the footpath and steps on Cedar Close
  • Strimmed and sprayed the footpath from Grove Road to the M54 Underpass
  • Strimmed alongside the footpath from Rock Road to Overdale
  • Strimmed and pruned the footpath from Rock Road traffic lights to the bridleway path to Bellpit
  • Pruned alongside the footpath on Garfield Road to the M54 bridge
  • Removed glass from Cemetery Road
  • Fixed wire to the edges of the wooden steps on the Rock public open space
  • Strimmed and pruned from the West Centre Way footbridge to Teawell Close
  • Pruned the hedge at the corner of Village Drive and Glendale to improve the sight line for traffic and pedestrians using the crossing
  • Mowed the right of way from the rear of Newdale School to Churchward Drive and along he bridleway to the Rock
  • Put up remembrance poppies around Lawley

  • The steps on the land off Acer Close were scraped and leaves blown clear
  • Leaves blown from the path from the Rock public open space to Rock Road
  • Leaves blown from the footpath around Glendale bus stop
  • The footpath cleared and leaves blown from Glendale Circle
  • Debris and leaves removed from Wrekin Trundle
  • Mud scraped from the footpath around Old Park pond
  • Leaves blown from the steps at Old Park pond
  • Weeded the area around the clock tower on Lawley Village Green
  • Pruned the shrubs around the pond at Lawley Village Green

PET Work week commencing 17th October

  • spaded mud and moss from footpaths at Hill Fold
  • pruned hedges back off footpaths in Overdale and removed litter from the area
  • pruned the shrub bed outside the Carpenter Centre in Overdale
  • Cleared leaves and mud from the footpaths on Rock Road around Newdale School
  • cleared an overgrown flowerbed at Tom Morgan Close
  • removed a small fly tip on Arleston Lane and reported a large fly tip to Telford & Wrekin Council
  • strimmed and sprayed around lamposts on the routes to  Newdale school
